We specialise in Strength & Conditioning

We are a functional fitness gym specialising in strength and conditioning (S&C) training, offering up to nine classes daily with a maximum of 12 members per class to ensure focused, high-quality coaching. 

Our expert trainers are respected professionals in the field, creating a welcoming environment for complete beginners to elite athletes. Strength and conditioning is increasingly recognised as essential for all members of society, with the HSE and medical community recommending it for improved health and well-being.

What is Strength & Conditioning Training?

Strength training involves using body weight and/or weights as resistance to build and maintain muscle mass while keeping bones and joints strong. We focus on controlled movements with shorter repetitions using challenging weights to maximise effectiveness. Regular strength training helps preserve and enhance not only muscle health but also organ function—including the brain! Without it, our strength, health, and overall quality of life decline more rapidly, increasing the risk of frailty and decrepitude.

Conditioning training is done by performing exercises at a fast speed with a high number of reps using a light weight in order to get cardiovascularly fit (this will also develop muscular endurance).
